Our Story
Piplana Pane began with a simple yet powerful idea — to help farmers overcome the barriers they face when buying or selling agricultural products. Our founder, Dinesh Tilva, grew up witnessing how farmers in rural areas depended heavily on local shops or livestock agents for transactions. Many farmers had no way of reaching wider markets unless informed by word of mouth.
Recognizing this challenge, Dinesh started helping as a mediator, connecting buyers and sellers through WhatsApp groups and broadcasts based on categories like equipment, livestock, and supplies. As more farmers joined, sharing ads and purchase requirements, Dinesh personally curated and routed relevant information, building trust across communities.
The response grew rapidly, and it became clear that a more scalable solution was needed. This led to the development of the Piplana Pane mobile app for Android and iOS — where users could directly post ads, browse offerings, and connect without intermediaries.
One of the biggest challenges was technology adoption and the language barrier. To ensure no farmer was left behind, Dinesh visited village after village across Gujarat, personally teaching farmers how to use WhatsApp and other basic tools, empowering them to operate independently.
Understanding the importance of communication in a familiar language, the app was initially launched in Gujarati, making it accessible to farmers across Gujarat. Today, Piplana Pane has over 15 lakh registered farmers, and we have expanded operations to Gujarat and Maharashtra, offering services in both Gujarati and Marathi.
Our vision goes beyond regional boundaries. We are committed to expanding the platform into all major Indian languages, ensuring that every local farmer — irrespective of location or literacy level — can benefit from technology, access broader markets, and improve their livelihoods.
At Piplana Pane, we believe that technology should empower, not exclude. We continue to work towards building a more connected, inclusive, and efficient agricultural ecosystem where farmers, consumers, dealers, and agents alike can thrive.
